How to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your client portal
Two-factor authentication adds a second step when you log in to the Managed Web client portal, so a stolen password on its own isn't enough to access your account.
- Log in to the client portal.
- Click your name in the top-right corner and choose Security Settings.
- Under Two-Factor Authentication, click Enable and then Get Started.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy.
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows and confirm.
- Save the backup code somewhere safe. You'll need it if you lose your phone.
From now on, you'll enter a code from the app each time you log in.
cPanel 2FA
You can also protect cPanel itself: in cPanel, open Two-Factor Authentication in the Security section and follow the same scan-and-confirm steps.
If you lose both your device and backup code, raise a ticket; we'll need to verify your identity before removing 2FA.
