How to update contact details in cPanel

How to update contact details in cPanel

cPanel sends important notifications, such as disk space warnings, SSL renewal problems and password reset links, to the contact address on your hosting account. Keep it up to date so you don't miss them.

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. In the Preferences section, click Contact Information.
  3. Enter your main email address. You can add a second, backup address too.
  4. Tick the notifications you want to receive, such as disk usage warnings and SSL certificate alerts.
  5. Click Save.

Use an address that isn't hosted on the same account (for example a personal Gmail or Outlook address). If there's a problem with your hosting, you'll still receive the warning.

Note: this is separate from the contact details on your client portal account, which are used for billing and service emails. Update those under your name › Edit Account Details in the client portal.
